Ferrari Starts to Practice

After a short break following last week's testing, the Ferrari team resumed its activities today in Bahrain with Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa working on the continuing development of the F2008.

Things started out under cloudy conditions this morning on the Sakhir circuit until clear skies took control of the environment, raising the ambient temperature to 24 degrees Celsius.

The programme of the day concentrated on finding the best set-up for the car, which has already shown great potential. Both Ferraris were faster than the Toyota racers also testing on the same track.

World Champion Raikkonen had a trouble-free day, completing 66 laps with a best performance of 1:30.914, about a half-second off his fastest run recorded last Wednesday.

Unfortunately for Massa, his session was interrupted by a hydraulics glitch during the afternoon. Up to that point, the Brazilian had covered 53 laps, the quickest in a time of 1:31.174.

Testing continues at this circuit tomorrow, again with Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa on track.
