Dasavatharam to be released on April 10th.

'Oscar' Ravichandran, today has confirmed the release date of his magnum opus Kamal Hassan's Dasavatharam.



Says Oscar: "Dasavatharam is almostg ready for a worldwide solo release on April 10,2008 Thursday. It will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi simultaneously, the number of prints and publicity campaign are being worked out."



According to Ravi, unlike AVM did for SIvaji, the marketing wizard he is planning a new strategy to drive the film in hitherto unexplored markets. He is likely to distribute it himself in all areas with the help of friends.



Says Oscar "The buzz on the movie is good and nearer to the release dates it sure going to get bigger and will ensure a bumper opening. The holiday season starts in India around the time and overseas especially in US and Canada where Kamal sir is the king, the cold winter conditions would have been over energizing the audiences to see the film."



The CG work of the film is going on at the moment and the audio with music by Himmesh Reshammaiah will be launched in the last week of February.



The re-recording and background score of the film is being done by Devi Sri Prasad.

Sony has purchased the audio rights of the film while Kalaignar TV has picked up the television rights at the highest ever paid for a Tamil film!
